Still in a phase of rebuilding — slowing things down, creating clarity, and building systems that feel sustainable and mine instead of just clever.
Current State
- Building out a 6-node Proxmox cluster — lots of capacity, deliberately mostly empty while I decide what actually earns a place on it
- Moving toward a calmer, more intentional homelab instead of a pile of half-running services
- Monitoring, secrets, and backups first; the fun stuff after the foundation
- Trying to replace chaos with clarity, without overengineering it
Current Projects
The homelab buildout. The cluster is the main thing right now: figuring out the role of each node, what to self-host, and how to keep it understandable as it grows rather than turning into a graveyard of disks. Think monitoring (Grafana, Uptime Kuma), self-hosted secrets (Vaultwarden), network-wide DNS filtering (AdGuard), and slowly bringing services like Gitea back home on my own terms.
Alongside that, a few smaller hiddenden tools keep ticking over — things like openrabbit (AI code review for Gitea) and GuardDen (a Discord moderation bot).
Ideas (brewing)
- A clean, understandable, calm infrastructure setup
- Small tools that solve real problems without becoming complex
- Expanding hiddenden.cafe into something more alive and personal
Learning Right Now
- Better Astro structure for long-term maintainability
- Cleaner Docker + nginx patterns for self-hosted services
- Writing more consistently, even if it’s small updates
Focus Areas
- Privacy-first self-hosting with minimal external dependencies
- Building things that stay understandable and maintainable
- Sustainable progress — small steps instead of burnout cycles
Outside of Tech
Letting things settle, rebuilding balance, and figuring out direction again without rushing it.
